Corporate Permit

A Corporate Permit is required for all architectural business types (including Sole Proprietorships, Corporations, Partnerships, and Partnerships of Corporations). These corporate permits will be due annually on or before December 31st.

In order to be eligible for a Corporate Permit, the business must be controlled by architects licensed with the NSAA.  This means that the majority of Directors and Officers and the majority of shares must be owned by architects licensed with the NSAA.

Your business/architectural firm must also comply with Nova Scotia business legislation which also includes registering with the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stock Companies.
